Genise Lalos has worked at both the local and national levels of health care for the past 25 years. Her credentials include: Master of Arts degree in Counseling, Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Licensed Social Worker, Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified Clinical Supervisor, Master Addiction Counselor, Certified Change Leader for the Network for the Improvement of Addiction Treatment (NIATx), Principle Investigator for the National Clinic Trials Research Network with the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). Ms.Lalos has been published in the Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment and the Tool Kit for Medication Assisted Treatment- which was recommended by the Executive Committee of the Office of the President of the United States. Ms. Lalos has worked at the Prestera Center for Mental Health Services and at Acadia Health Care Systems. Ms. Lalos received the state of WV’s Distinguished Service Award for her work in establishing effective community-based treatment programs.
