In December of 2018, Chesapeake Healthcare Center opened it's doors and embarked on a journey with a profound commitment to the health and well-being of West Virginians. On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, we proudly hosted our Grand Opening celebration, marking the inauguration of a facility designed by West Virginians, for West Virginians. This event symbolized not only the culmination of meticulous planning and dedication but also the beginning of a new chapter in healthcare provision in our state.
Under the visionary leadership of Genise Lalos, our Executive Director with over two decades of experience in addiction treatment, Chesapeake Healthcare Center, set out to redefine healthcare delivery. Recognizing the complex interplay between opioid addiction and primary care needs, Lalos envisioned an integrated model that could truly make a difference in the lives of individuals across the region.
Central to our approach is the belief in integrated care—a philosophy grounded in clinical evidence and compassion. By offering a spectrum of services including primary care, medication-assisted addiction treatment, behavioral health therapies, and wellness programs we aim to break down barriers and provide holistic support to those struggling with addiction and other health issues.
With a focus on better health outcomes and cost efficiency, our model seeks to bridge the gap, ensuring that individuals receive the comprehensive care they deserve.
