Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Summary: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will perform phlebotomy and urine drug screens daily. The position also supports the providers by providing caring, personalized and efficient handling of patients, medical records, supply management, and other duties as assigned. In addition, the CMA provides appropriate feedback to the medical team, follow-up information to patients and correctly inputs data as required. The position will also perform urine drug screens as a regular part of the job.

Position Responsibilities:
    • Works directly with the medical director to improve efficiency and continuity of care for patients.
    • Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and exam room utilization by efficiently scheduling appointments.
    • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by verifying patient insurance benefits and eligibility prior to the appointment; reminding patients of their appointment the day before; registering and checking in patients in a timely manner; preparing necessary documents for the visit; notifying provider of patients’ late arrival; rescheduling or moving late arriving patients when necessary.
    • Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining a clean and presentable front office and reception area.
    • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records or reports.

Minimum Qualifications:
    • Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
    • Must be a Certified Medical Assistant.
    • Excellent verbal, telephone, and communication skills.
    • Experience working with Microsoft Office and possesses strong computer skills.
    • Maintain a current CPR certification and use CPR skills if needed.

Salary:

$14.00-15 /hour

Pay: $30,160.00 - $32,240.00 per year

Physician Assistant

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary care to patients.
  • Create patient care plans and contribute to existing plans.
  • Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
  • Monitor and operate medical equipment.
  • Diagnose health issues.
  • Administer medicines and treatments.
  • Evaluate responses to treatments and medications.
Position Requirements:
  • Masters degree from an accredited program.
  • Must have PA-C licensure in the state of WV.
  • Must have DEA license in WV.
