Description:
The Addiction Therapist provides critical alcohol and other drug assessment, treatment, and referral services to patients referred to the Chesapeake Healthcare Center program. The Addiction Therapist maintains all the required certifications and skills necessary to function within the guidelines of this description and policy and procedure. This position gives you the opportunity to make a difference by providing counseling and support to people in recovery from addiction.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field plus one year of clinical experience in an alcohol or other drugs (AOD) or mental health setting preferred. LCSW, LPC, AADC, or MAC preferred. Combination of comparable skills, experience, and education. Experience in evidenced based practices. Understanding and supportive of a trauma-informed system of care. Experience with stages of change, cognitive behavioral therapies including DBT, and motivational therapies
Wages:
$43,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year

Description:
The Recovery Roach provides critical alcohol and other drug assessment, support, and referral services to patients referred to the Chesapeake Healthcare Center program. Works with other professional staff to collaborate on treatment methods, and plans for patients. Counsel patients both individually and in group sessions. Create and modify individualized treatment and support strategies based on research, clinical knowledge, patient history and evaluations of progress. Works with drug and alcohol treatment agencies and programs and provides a list of resources to patients.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 5 years personal substance abuse recovery experience. PRSS or Recovery Coach certification. Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong interpersonal and engagement skills. Valid WV Drivers license. Strong computer and organizational skills.
Wages:
$31,200 per year
